Where We’ve Been!

In 2016, Boots and Armor was birthed out of a word from the Lord to provide Christmas for children in foster care. Our president and her husband Luis, began coordinating alongside their local church's Orphan Care Director to get families signed up and planned a small party put together in their home. We were able to bless 12 families in that first year. The following years the families doubled, even during Covid we did a drive-thru where we served 50 families last year we had just shy of 100 present.

Where We're Going..

As we grew, we recognized a need extending beyond just Christmas and wanted to provide something more throughout the year. This Easter, Spring 2022, we were able to send several families gift cards and establish a summer reading program, books provided, for children who wanted to participate.

The following video is from Hillsong Worship. We do not know the status of these beautiful children. We just know, every child deserves a loving home. That's what we are celebrating with our fostered and adopted children and showing the unconditional love of Jesus.

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God." I John 4:7

Our mission is to serve these children with purpose, presenting in love the story of Christmas and girding the heart of the fatherless in truth they are not forgotten!

Children in Texas

Last year there were over 45,000 children in the care of the state of Texas. The #1 reason children enter into foster care is due to neglect.

Children in the U.S.

In 2020 there were over 200,000 children who entered into foster care in the United States.
